It's OK.  Now the pressure is off to keep the shut out.  Wings will win this.  NBC will be sad.  LOL~

Ignoring their mediocre record, I love a lot of things about this team. Zetterberg and Datstuk returning to dominance, Brunner scoring goals off wicked wristers, Tootoo, even Lashoff.

Plus, this game is fun, high tempo and skilled on both sides. Feels a bit like a playoff game.

What we have learned from one period.  Pasha don;t like getting hit, and, Howie don't like being shown up by a rook.

There's a Dan Cleary hat trick:  A turn-over, missed check on the scorer and crashing into his own goalie.

Are you kidding? Block you? And miss watching you stumble around the forum looking for an argument like a dog sniffing butts? It would be like turning off a bad episode of Jerry Springer. You know you shouldn't be watching, but you just... can't... help... it...

Brunner!!! Is this the sniper that the Wings have been lacking?

You bet your ass he is.  P.S. He's outscoring Ovechkin.  ;)

Wings need some Ryan Pulock in the 1st round, a goal scorer in the 2nd round and rounds 3-7 all guys 6'4 or bigger.  Please sign Dekeyser to play with Smith.  <--Dekeyser signed, Paired next year.  Mark your calendars.

Tootoo needs a partner in crime that plays like him on the other side of Helm.  Oh hey, we have Mitchell Callahan.  Problem solved.

Cleary.... :pokey:

It's not necessarily Cleary's fault that Kopitar is a really good and strong player.

I know Kenny always takes heat for the guys that he supposedly didn't sign or trade for and somehow it was Bowman who found him even though he doesnt have anything to do with this team anymore but this Brunner kid is something.

Brunner is a refreshing change from trying to have each guy on the team touch the puck twice before each shot.  Brunner gets the puck = sizzle time!

Been a long time since we had a right handed guy who can straight up snipe.

Great 1st period, just bad luck (and weak arms from Cleary) that they scored one at the end.

Sweet goals by both Pav and Brunner, 2 nice assists from captain Z, a coupe of killer saves from Howie...

Expecting our legs to diminish in a while so hopefully we can stay in front.

It's not necessarily Cleary's fault that Kopitar is a really good and strong player.

It's not, but it definitely highlights how outmatched Clearly was on that play.  Lost the physical battle in the corner, then lost position as Kopitar went to the net.

Fun game overall so far though.
