Devils are 1st in the East leading the Pens 3-0 right now. I thought they were the fluke team last season but right now they look absolutely legit. Just extremely well coached and Marty is unbelievable.

-Chicago/Nashville 0-0 so far in the 2nd

chicago wins 3-0, njd win 3-1.

Chicago has 22 points in 12 games, only losses they have are shootouts. They have a point in 2 games a piece and 2 points in each of the other 10 games, by far the hottest team right now.

NJD have 19 points in 12 games with only 1 regulation loss and 3 ot losses. NJD are the team that have shocked me the most so far, especially after losing Parise, I suspected they would be decent, and maybe just make the playoffs, but they have been outstanding thus far. (I bet Parise is starting to second guess himself now)

Wings have looked good lately after a slow and rocky start they seem to be back in game shape, and the defense seems to be finally starting to figure out life without lids. Overall starting better than I expected, I am still sticking to my pre season prediction of a top 4 spot in the west to finish the season

Milbury is an absolute idiot, the guy will never say anything against the Bruins. It's like Edwards "oh no Thornton got his ass handed to him by Scott......but Scott is only a goon and playing single digits per night" how about giving credit to one of the best enforcers in the game you damn Bruins homers.

Chicago is damn hot since the start if they keep this up, they are in for a deep playoff run and I absolutely hate that fact, so hopefully they are going to come down to earth soon. I am really surprised how quickly Vancouver has turned their season around, they are riding a 5 game winning streak right now and both goalies are hot. Blues are in some kind of a slump but I still think this team is in for a deep playoff run which doesn't make it easier for us to sneak into the playoffs.

I really didn't expect the Kings to start that sloppy, this is basically the same roster that won the Stanley Cup, they don't need to figure out a new system or having to attach themselves to new linemates but yet they seem to be not clicking at all, maybe a postponed Stanley Cup hangover?

Devils are the most surprisingly team to me, I thought after losing Parise and Brodeur getting older they could miss the playoffs but now they are dominating the east and are doing so against great teams, such as Pittsburgh or New York really impressive. Hopefully they can figure out their ownership situation soon would suck seeing all the work Lamourillo (spelling)? has done going to another place.

Agreed. The Kings seemed to revert back to the team from the first half of last season instead of the one that destroyed all comers in the playoffs.

Though they lost Mitchell possibly for the year, which is huge. And Matt Greene is out too. So that's a big blow to their blueline. Richards has picked up some assists on the PP but otherwise isn't on the scoresheet as much as they need. And Penner is in the doghouse again. He especially has reverted to the lazy Penner from early last season instead of the Penner that was living up to his potential in the playoff run and playoffs.
