Wings game plan:

Step one: Play hard

Step two: Get lead

Step three: coast to victory

Interesting points in this thread.

I have a personal training bizness here in Florida and Iove training athletes compared to the 'general fitness' crowd bcause athletes can flip the switch, reach down and really push themselvs almost as a reflexive reponse whereas the weekend warriors seem to ignore their ability to flip the switch by choice and feel good putting fourth subpar effort.

I mention this because It is so frustrating watching the Wings Flip the switch choosing to fire on all cylinders for 20 minutes then flip the switch off.

What is the cause of this?

Hell at times this year I have actually hoped the wings let off the gas so its not a blow out and that way It will
Be a more entertaining game.

Flip the switch for 60 minutes boyz, please !

Ken Holland caused this switch problem. He has put this idea in the players' collective systems.

Jk!

Mistakes happen.  Z was entirely at fault by giving the puck away.  The Wings are their own worst enemy.  Gotta reduce the amount of mistakes they commit.

We're pretty good at this. Our D and Goaltending isnt good enough to sit on a 2-0 lead. But apperently we cant learn from our mistakes.

We should sticky this thread.  Apparently this isn't going to go away.

Our games remind me of FIFA 12.

As soon as you go up 2-0, you know the other team will make it 2-2 eventually.

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Someone call 1-800-CALL-SAM and report an injured Red Wings defense.

I think the key to victory this year is to never score that second goal until the game is tied.

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $36

Agreed, That or get an 20 Goal lead and pray that the time clock runs down quick. I can't even express how enraged I am right now without using a language that would surley get me kicked off of here so I'll just shut up and drink my Protein Shake.

It seems that a few players like to start taking shifts off after the second goal is scored (Cleary, Abs, and Kronwall's names should all come to mind). This needs to stop, they don't have the talent anymore to afford anyone taking a single second off in a game, no matter how many goals they have.
