A couple of my friends who are Red Wings fans have been sending me their humorous morning conversations about hockey to post on my blog.
I never spam my site, but since the posts are very Red Wings-oriented, I think they will interest you guys.

I'm just happy that when Detroit plays Columbus at Nationwide it isn't 95% Red Wings fans. I think we've gotten it down to like 80%, haha
Oh well, at least I have a good humor about it.

I'm just happy that when Detroit plays Columbus at Nationwide it isn't 95% Red Wings fans. I think we've gotten it down to like 80%, haha

Yeah, I grew up in Indiana, and since there was no team nearby and the Blackhawks mostly sucked during the "Roenick/Belfour Era" when I was young, so everyone was Red Wings fans.
I loved hockey, but I didn't really have a team because local TV didn't carry many games. I mostly just saw highlights on Sportscenter and played the hell out of NHL'95 & '96 on Sega Genesis. From that, I kind of had favorite players but not teams (Adam Oates, Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny, Cam Neely, Pat LaFontaine, etc.)
I moved to Columbus about six years ago during the NHL Lockout. I went to a few games, met some players and became the team I follow.
I'm also a Cubs fan, so it kind of fits into the whole "loser" thing I've gotten used to.

I've heard there is a cure for that, but I'm not sure what it is. Oh well, I figure we all have our crosses to bear. If you can find your way through this little insanity, you're a braver soul than I.

Haha, I know a few of those.
I've been a Colts fan for life. It was rough before Manning, but I can't complain now.
