These look legit, unfortunetly. I'm not a fan. If these were the real deal, and I assume they were, I really hope there's a change of heart before next year.

Please delete this one, sorry guys.

I think they're great.  I'm not sure about the font.  What don't you like about them?

I like the back and the font.  Not a huge fan of the front with the City and logo together.  Don't like the tie up strings around the neck on jerseys either.

I like the font. Its something the Wings used for a few years in the late 70's/early 80's, I believe. I thought using the old logo was the way to go and im glad they used that. The striping and lack of similarity of the striping to anything the Wings have ever wore is what gets me. I love the tradition of the Wings and their refusal to make throwaway design jerseys. (See Toronto's silver striping, Boston's bear head jersey, Ney Yorks lady liberty jersey) Montreal, Detroit, and Chicago have really resisted trends over the years and I think it gives the team heritage an extra element. Our last WC jersey, I thought, was a great homage to the teams beginnings (see Detroit Falcons/Cougars), was simple yet elegant, and gave us the Wings version of a 'D" logo. I think this jersey tries to be vintage, but looks too much like somethings ive seen NHL heritage sweaters make. Simplicity is key with original 6/Wings stuff...and theres just too much happening here.

I like em.  I'd buy one.  It's the Winter Classic....they want the jerseys to be throwback style.  And I for one love tie up necks.  They're more comfortable when you're playing too.  looser around the neck restricts your upper body less.

Wings need some Ryan Pulock in the 1st round, a goal scorer in the 2nd round and rounds 3-7 all guys 6'4 or bigger.  Please sign Dekeyser to play with Smith.  <--Dekeyser signed, Paired next year.  Mark your calendars.

Tootoo needs a partner in crime that plays like him on the other side of Helm.  Oh hey, we have Mitchell Callahan.  Problem solved.

Cleary.... :pokey:

They look really cheap. I live vintage looking jerseys, but these look amateurish, even for those.

Maybe they need another colour added to the mix then.  Even some subtle black outlines around the white parts.

Shouldn't one of the teams wear white though?

Gotta be honest...I'm not a big fan of the Red Wings WC sweater...On the other hand the Maple Leafs WC sweater is a reincarnation of what they wore back in the 1920's, and IMHO it looks great!

I don't necessarily like the logo & city combo on the front but the rest of the jersey looks great to me.

I posted this in the 2014 WC thread but there wasn't a ton of discussion.

I'm not a huge fan, myself. The piping and such is okay, but the front feels crowded with so much going on and the name font doesn't fit with the number font whatsoever.

Agreed to both above...

The city/logo combo looks crowded, and doesn't look right.

The Leafs on the other hand looks great.

An "homage" to the 1982-83 Red Wings? That thing is disgustingly ugly.

Maybe it's purpose is to be sold but not seen in public. If that's the case...chalk up another win for Uncle Gary.

I like the smaller winged wheel, like we had in the 40s and 50s.  Rest of it, meh.

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

I'd rather the Wings re-sign Cleary to a 5 year contract than see them wear those.  Yes, they're that bad.

Nice choice of colours.

(mama said if you can't say something nice...)

My money on the board pledge:

$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.

An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.

An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for a SO by Jimmy.

Hamsters' names (current players in RED):  Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

                                                                      Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

                                                                      Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

                                                                      Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

And introducing:  Jordin Damien Gustav James

TOTAL SO FAR: $37

Wait...didn't the jerseys leak last year? Why would they change the designs now? Something doesn't smell right with these.

The Toronto jersey looks sweet, but I am not sure about the wings.  I was expecting something like this

If you take Detroit off the front I'm in love with them. With no issue with it saying Detroit, it just looks like there is too much going on with both the text and the logo.

Those were fan-made mockups.
