Zetterberg is not good in shootouts. Once in a great while he makes a good move and beats the goalie but he does not do it often enough. Why isn't Franzen going out on the shootout?

I'd rather have Cleary than Zetterberg in that position.

Ok, Brunner didn't deliver tonight. Apart from that, it was still a good game by him. He'll deliver more if he's in with good linemates. Could be even Tootoo or Tatar if you ask me. He just needs guys next to him who are working very hard and are able to give great passes.

Well that was a huge letdown, I feel like the Blue Jackets are the kryptonite of Detroit. On the positive side, I did notice that Quincey was making some damn good plays at the end of the game that definitely surprised me. He seems to be getting a little better out there, definitely not the touch of death that he was at the start of the season.

Started to develop some momentum in the dying minute of OT.. really gotta revisit extending regular season overtime to ten minutes. Five isn't really enough, i'd like to see statistically how many OT games went to a shootout compared to how many OT games were won in the actual OT period.

I thougth the lowest point of the sesaon was a couple weeks ago when they blew lead against Columbus. But no, they lost back to back to that team again with one of the loss a shotout. This team is not just going down, it's in a free fall. And it's only will stop when two morons named Babcock and Holand will leave. I don't care who will replace them. They just need to go. As far as they are around this team will become a doormat of NHL soon. I hate to say that but Pavel would resign and rather will go back to Russia. Why to waste his remaining years for those two incompetent idiots?

The stubbornness of Babcock to keep two scrubs on a line with Datsyuk game in and game out is such a bad coaching decision and it is so clear to everyone and yet a NHL coach getting paid 7 figures cannot see it and doesn't change it.

I totally agree. Even when he's not potting goals, I've been really impressed with his compete level and how quickly he's learned to shore up some of the weaker aspects of his game. He's not put off the puck so easily now and is always one of the hardest workers on the ice.

Bye bye Columbus, see ya in the Eastern Conference next year ya hard working dicks. Bad game, 1 point of 4 against Columbus is inexcusable anyway ya shake it. We desperately need some reinforcements up front. Howard and the defense are starting to settle in, but we have no depth up front. Abby and Dano are playing too much, Tatar isn't getting a real shot. We need Fil and Helm to get the team speed up and give us more depth up front. Whenever Bert is healthy will help too, Sammy can fly down south and sleep on the beach for the rest of the year as far as I'm concerned, rather have Andersson/Tatar/Eaves/Miller/Emmerton in the line-up over him when everyone is healthy.

Y'all gotta look on the bright side, if they keep playing like this then TOP 10 PICK!

I am also looking forward to the mass exodus of bandwagon fans that have jumped on board over the last 20 years. Having gone to Ferris back in the mid 90s, I fell in love with that hockey team and they were not that good. Still, the 2,000 fans that showed up to the games were enjoyable to watch the game with. They were knowledgeable and appreciative of what the team brought every night. Sure, they weren't a 1st place team, but hell they worked hard and the fans appreciated it.

When they had a great season in 2003 and won the CCHA title, the morons came out of the woodwork the next year. The arena was sold out every night, but talking with these people were annoying. They bitched non-stop about the team. They bitched non-stop about the coaching staff. It was less about enjoying the hockey game and all about a "what have you done for me" attitude. After a down season, the morons went away and it was back to normal again.

So yes, Top 10 pick if they don't make the playoffs and we get to start the "fan" purge.

WANTED:

Legit Scorer who can play 25+ minutes a game and doesn't take nights off

Power Play Specialist (quarterback) who can get the puck on the net and create plays out of nothing....

They are going to need a little more than that. A top defenseman would also be on my list.
