Zetterberg is not good in shootouts. Once in a great while he makes a good move and beats the goalie but he does not do it often enough. Why isn't Franzen going out on the shootout?

One point out of four against Columbus.  Pathetic.

Can't wait till these deadline acquisitions Holland speaks of return.

Well Filppula will be back this week, and then Helm and Sammy some time shortly... Sooo you wont have to wait too long for your deadline acquisitions

No Tatar in OT or SO.

Thanks Babcock.

Awful 2 games. This team is so hard to get a handle on. Feels like Filppula is definitely needed to kick Abby/Cleary out of the top 6. Z also needs to find his game or rest if he's injured, he was awful tonight except for like 1 great shift in OT.

Should've put Franzen ahead of Z.

i want to see tatar in the shootout dont tell me he doesnt have some moves

coaching mistake to put z in the shootout even if he is the captain cost us the extra point. better luck next time

Columbus took 9 of 10 points this season.

Look no further than that if they miss the playoffs.

I'm going to repost this A LOT!

Z is not good in shootouts, there are much better options. What did tatar do to piss babcok off so much that he gets no love.

I'd rather have Cleary than Zetterberg in that position.

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

All these home games are done now. I'm not sure the Red Wings banked enough points during them unfortunately. The schedule gets grueling now and they are going to have to win on the road to get in.

What a pathetic weekend.

Ok, Brunner didn't deliver tonight. Apart from that, it was still a good game by him. He'll deliver more if he's in with good linemates. Could be even Tootoo or Tatar if you ask me. He just needs guys next to him who are working very hard and are able to give great passes.

Well that was a huge letdown, I feel like the Blue Jackets are the kryptonite of Detroit. On the positive side, I did notice that Quincey was making some damn good plays at the end of the game that definitely surprised me. He seems to be getting a little better out there, definitely not the touch of death that he was at the start of the season.

Started to develop some momentum in the dying minute of OT.. really gotta revisit extending regular season overtime to ten minutes. Five isn't really enough, i'd like to see statistically how many OT games went to a shootout compared to how many OT games were won in the actual OT period.

I thougth the lowest point of the sesaon was  a couple weeks ago when they blew lead against Columbus. But no, they lost back to back to that team again with one of the loss a shotout. This team is not just going down, it's in a free fall. And it's only will stop when two morons named Babcock and Holand will leave. I don't care who will replace them. They just need to go. As far as they are around this team will become a doormat of NHL soon. I hate to say that but Pavel would resign and rather will go back to Russia. Why to waste his remaining years for those two incompetent idiots?

The only good news is we don't play Columbus anymore this year. Thank F.

Our road special teams will need to step it up though. Especially on the PP.

Let's see if our boyz can hack it on the road.

I think we can.

The stubbornness of Babcock to keep two scrubs on a line with Datsyuk game in and game out is such a bad coaching decision and it is so clear to everyone and yet a NHL coach getting paid 7 figures cannot see it and doesn't change it.

The lines were changed today.
