From Winnipeg Free Press:

Winnipeg has been targeted by the NHL for an outdoor game and could host a Heritage Classic as early as 2016.

True North chairman Mark Chipman confirmed to the Free Press on Saturday they have been in negotiations with the NHL and they are hopeful an announcement can be made as early as the end of March.

Looks good on The Peg.

I gotta try and get tickets to this if it goes through. Likely will lose a nut to frostbite in January here, but it'll be badass to go to one of these.

The heritage classic is garbage

Joking or serious? Cause the first Heritage Classic happened prior to the Winter Classic and paved the way for them. Or is it garbage cause most of the teams here in Canada are in fact garbage? Cause to that, other than the Jets, I would agree.

Investors Group Field hosted it's second event this past Wednesday, a Canadian Football League exhibition game. Here are a couple of photos of different angles I found online:

Attendance is listed as 33,422, with expansion to 40,000.

I thought the game would be played here.
