Even if Pavel somehow likes having Abdelkader on his line (which I doubt), the biggest problem is this extended trial together hasn't worked. At all.
Datsyuk needs skill around him. Not floating Franzen and a two-point grinder with no offensive ability.

The last 8 games the first line hasn't worked either. At least that line maintains some time in the offensive zone. Bert was the Wings most skilled big body and I think the Wings are missing him more than we'd expect.Even if Pavel somehow likes having Abdelkader on his line (which I doubt), the biggest problem is this extended trial together hasn't worked. Hey...you're makin' me look bad. He does hit a lot though. Kudos to him for that. He needs to work on his stick handling more than anything.

Abby hasn't been the same since the 09 cup finals...Remember he scored 2 goals and was wrecking a lot of opposing players? He still hits players. He clears the way for Datsyuk, but if no one is shooting and all we're doing is perimeter passing, what's the use of even having datsyuk out there?
I'm getting more of the persuasion that Cleary needs to be gone and not resigned.
