There we go.  500th assist on Abdelkader's 1st hatty.

I like this team.

I want to give him a big hug of congratulations.  You deserve it, Pasha...you worked hard for it, and I for one am damned proud you wear the Red and White.  I bought two new Datsyuk shirts today - maybe subconsciously I knew something good would happen tonight!

Creeping up on Sergei. Amazing player. :)

I know it's early but I can't wait to see his name up there in the rafters.

Yeah, hopefully that will begin the re-habilitation of Sergei as a Wing.  I always hated it when he got booed when he came back to the Joe - way to thank someone for the good times, no matter how the relationship ended.

On topic - go Pav!  And thanks Uncle Gary for denying us ~110 games of Datsyukian brilliance!  If he retires <100 points from 1000 career, we know who to thank.

Was just thinking about that after looking at his career stats. What a waste.

250 goals, 500 assists :)

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

What a night for Pavel.  Congratulations.  All accolades are well-deserved.

Hope he still has many milestones to come in Detroit.

The steal for his 2nd assist was just classic Datsyuk. How many times has he done that..

Sometimes when I see Datsyuk play keep away with the opposing players, I can hear this song in my head! :hysterical:

edit: For the life of me I cannot figure out why I cannot post the video in here....
