Hope the guy is alright.  I don't like him but there's not a single player I would enjoy, or otherwise wish to be injured like this - or in any way in general.

Some of these injuries that some players get hurt me just watching them. So think of it this way, what if you took a puck to the face and was hurt. I know I will be the first one to walk in front of you and fall over laughing at you.

My general thoughts are that we had this happen to a couple guys so its no surprise to see it happen elsewhere. Its too bad, but bad luck happens. Moving on....

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?

Man that sucks, I don't care if people like the guy or not but seeing someone getting lined up by a 99 mp/h blast isn't something I'll be ever cheering for. Had this kind of luck with a "professional boomerrang" when I was younger and even then the blood was coming out like nothing now imagine what a puck can do.

Also in Crosby's case such things could make his conussion return and really thats not something to laugh at. I don't like his attitude although he has gotten better over the years but his talentlevel is through the roof, so get well soon and yes even as a diehard Detroit Red Wings fan I feel wishing him well, is the right thing to do.

Is Gary crying somewhere?

I hope Crosby comes back fine, albeit a little more grown up.

No matter how much you "hate" Crosby you can't laugh when you watch the video of the incident. That was a hard shot and you can see it hitting him right in the mouth.

They've had Malkin, Letang and Fleury out this season and they are still the best team in the NHL? What do you mean back to what they were?

The well wishes are appreciated, I'm actually pleasantly surprised to see that. There's a number of players in the league that I'm not a fan of but wouldn't want to see them hurt. For me personally I can't get too worked up about what people say about a player but I draw the line at injuries. They're still living, breathing human beings.

From all I've heard his teeth pretty much just got annihilated, the surgery was for his teeth (yes, many "oral" jokes abound) Didn't hear anything about a break in the jaw (that is what worries me most right now) but they would likely want to take precautionary measures with the concussion as well though I am hoping that's not going to be an issue.

The guy may as well just go and make the full turn to heel and just come back with a damn grill, hopefully that's all it will come to.

From their label of stanley cup champions before the playoffs to a top team

Because this forum is about talking about the NHL in general.

And the leading scorer in the league, and currently best player of the past 20 years just got hit in the face with a 90 mile per hour slap shot.

Don't really have to read the thread if it doesn't interest you.

That pic just cracked me up! Hope he's not out too long, he's had it rough with head injuries.

Does this incident mean Crosby and Quincey will be watching the cup finals from the box ?
