Travis 576 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Since he's been a player of interest around these parts, I thought it was a worthwhile thread. http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/blog/eye-on-hockey/21988845/oilers-re-sign-potential-trade-target-ladislav-smid-for-four-years-14-million Darren Dreger notes that the deal does not feature a NTC/NMC. kipwinger 8,524 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Damn, I really liked the idea of landing this guy. He's a work horse who would look real good paired with our offensive d-men. Bummer.
Travis 576 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Yeah, he was high on my wish list even if I can't manage to spell his name right. I think a shut down defenseman would do wonders for the d corps.
SwedeLundin77 460 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Well, looks like we're down to Yandle, Bouwmeester, or Regehr...
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Hopefully it just april fools and not really true. Guy would look good in red and white.
Opie 308 Report post Posted April 1, 2013 I am a bigger fan of landing Regehr, I know he is not a flashy name or player, but he is what I think this D needs, the Brad Stuart type of guy. Doesn't jump off of the stat sheet but plays a real steady game.

Guest Crymson Report post Posted April 1, 2013 Doesn't jump off of the stat sheet but plays a real steady game. Correction: played a really steady game. Not anymore. The vast majority of folks here seem to think back to his play as a Flame when they speak of him.
