I know this have been talked about here before. I would like to get him, but I doubt we will. I see Boston picking him up especially after missing on Iginla. Pierre LeBrun also tweeted Boston will likely be a front-runner.

If they want more than a C level prospect of a late round pick, I wouldn't touch it. He may be impact this season, but, the Wings need to (and seem to) only make moves that make sense in the long term.

I would take Jagr if he is a complimentary addition to a Vanek/Gaborik.

I agree, only adding Jagr is pointless.

It's always "the asking price is too high", and why aree the goddamn Bruins so frigging special?! The Wings are so close to having something special and Kenny has to see this...

It's because Kenny doesn't realize you have to give up something to get something. That's what July 1st is for Kenny. Oh wait you never do anything there either cause you want everyone to play for peanuts

Didn't Kenny just come out and say he doesn't want a rental? I can't imagine we'd get Jagr.

Then again, Kenny does seem to love doing things on the cheap so taking a flier on a zillion year old is right up his alley.

nothing makes the bruins special its just they are willing to go for broke to make up for losing Iggy

I ain't giving up 2 prospects and a high-level pick for a 42 yr old... no chance!

Especially since we are not that close to a cup run... smart move

I prefer Gaborik, etc

It's not so much the fact that he didn't get him. It's the fact that there's a really big chance holland will make 0 moves. All year other teams have no problem doing it. We have a deep prospect pool

I think Kenny will make 1... He knows he has to get a forward... but you could be right

We'll see

How many of the trades made would you want the Wings to make? I like Regehr, but I don't see how he would fit with the current D. Other than that trade, I don't think any of the trades made would have been the difference for the Wings this year, next year, etc. If Clowe and/or Gabby are traded for reasonable prices, it will be different IMO.

Making a move for the sake of making a move isn't what the Wings need. A move should only be made if it improves the team this year and in the coming years.

Yep I'm being patient.

If Pominville, Eriksson, Gaborik, Courturier etc. get moved for a reasonable price I'll start to hold Holland to the fire. But so far none of these moves are that big of a loss.
