Was that our first season sweep so far this year?
We still have a chance to sweep Vancouver and I believe Edmonton as well

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

So I can't criticize Quincey's blundering ass all night, yet you can question Datsyuk?

Never said you couldn't. I was just giving my opinion on your criticism. Everyone should be able to chime in.

Quincey was directly responsible to both Avs goals. illadvised pinch on the first and failure to clear on the 2nd (due to mask?).

And he immediately got a goal

If something works I have to keep it up! It worked perfectly tonight as well.

I'm definitely not serious when I'm talking about Datsyuk. Every time I complain about him he scores, so I do what I must.

yep. its all about you. you da man kewl guy!

Pretty bad.

Can you imagine how good this team would be with Datsyuk actually playing well?

And the play in OT, when Duchene got past him and should have scored.

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

I'll give him credit for that one-time blast off the post. Almost had one.

Yeah that was an eye-sore.

SCOREBOARD.   SCOREBOARD.

 Datsyuk top 15 in scoring with Abs and Cleary for his linemates half the season. Not good enough I guess.

People also need to realize that the Wings aren't loaded with offensive threats like they have been in the past. Dats and Hank are the only consistent point producers left really. So teams have an easier time putting their best defensive players against them. Especially when they play together. That will lead to turnovers.

Having said that, if guys like Goose can build off of games like tonight, than maybe the team can string a few wins together to stay in the top 7. Finishing 8th wouldn't not be so much a time.

Babcock just said Hank might not be available because he was favoring his groin at the end :( Lets all hope that Hank rests up and is good to go Sunday because that is a HUGE game!

Sunday is gonna be huge. Probably the biggest of the season, and what I think will show what kind of team the Wings really are this season.

I'm going home to Toronto tomorrow morning for a week. Was planning on going to the game Sunday but my passport didn't make it on time :(

Didn't like our game though. Third period we looked like some reeling fighter waiting for the knockout punch..quite embarassing. Against a good, playoff-bound opponent that would've been just another period where we surrender 2-3 goals in a row and lose the game...

This might be the first game this season that they've won when I (hastily) made the GDT.

Huzzah!

maybe now mike babcock realizes that datsyuk and Zetterberg should play together. I mean did you guys watch how much better Z and Dats play ? its like they both have a 6th sense of exactly where theyre going to be. Especially this late in the season when both are focused to make it to playoffs, its best to keep them together. any opinions?

Hopefully when Brunner comes back, he can fit on the second line as well as Nyquist has tonight because the other lines (aside from the 4th a few times) were pretty solid and the best they've been in awhile.

It's almost like they each played as if they had a legitimate top sixer to play with.
