Drew Miller breaks hand, done for the year

Tatar can't be called up.

This leaves the Red Wings with 12 healthy forwards (Patrick Eaves was scratched on Saturday). They have exhausted their four post-trade deadline call-ups from the Grand Rapids Griffins and would need an injury in order to recall a player on an emergency basis.

Wouldn't a broken hand be considered an "injury"?

Yes. And that leaves us with 12 healthy forwards as the quote says. If you read the article, you'll see that we need another injury (i.e. so we're unable to dress 12 forwards) to call Tatar up.

The article is vague and doesn't necessarily say an additional injury is needed beyond Miller but, either way Holland's overloading of our lineup with plugs is going to hurt us. Nice.
