kylee 727 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 All in all, today turned out fairly well for the Wings. But yeah, no more of this 1 point SO loss garbage. Wins are required. Pretty nuts to think that the biggest game of the season for Detroit is aginst the Coyotes at home, but it is what it is. No one is going to feel sorry for this team if they don't come out and show they want to be in the playoffs. Tonight went fairly well for Detroit, but this all means nothing if they don't take advantage of the 2 games in hand on Columbus. 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 nbc sports has 3 of our last 4 games I think just the next two. If I read our Directv schedule here in Texas correctly...That's gonna be bad enough. But it could be worse. It could be Eddie O-my-gawd and little Peener Head.
Crashnburnluder 385 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 Going to be a crazy last week of te season... We do play Dallas so no matter what I think the only way Dallas gets in over us is if we crap the bed and lose to them this week... We really need CBJ to drop 1 of its last 2 even if it's in OT and I hope minny can keep up there sucking and let us surpass them... If we win tom. We will be only 1 point behind minny and CBJ with a game in hand on CBJ and same games as minny... Winning Tom. Puts us in a position to really out pressure on both those teams and hope it causes them to stumble...
wingsfan4795 552 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 Detroit is guaranteed to make playoffs if they win out. I think they will probably make playoffs if they win 3 of 4 as long as one of those wins is against Dallas

It'll depend on if Columbus decides to start sucking or not

I think they will probably make playoffs if they win 3 of 4 as long as one of those wins is against Dallas If my math is right, 7 points will clinch it for us. (Dallas can only get 6 more, Columbus can get 4 more plus their 3 pt lead, but we have tie break)
GMRwings1983 8,789 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 (edited) Doesn't the NHL want a Wings/Blackhawks matchup in their last year in the same Conference? Two original 6 teams with BIG ratings, to meet in the playoffs. Please rig this s***, Gary. Edited April 22, 2013 by GMRwings1983
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 I'm thinking it's more likely Columbus gets 7th and then our target becomes overtaking Minnesota for 8th. If Columbus wins both their games in regulation, the Wings have basically win all their remaining games. Worst they could do is 3-0-1 and hope for a tiebreaker. Hopefully my math is right, I'm tired. Nah the undersized 3 for 3 guy would prefer St. Louis versus Carolina or something like that with abysmal ratings... Sent from my BlackBerry

marcaractac 3,960 Report post Posted April 22, 2013 The one positive out of last nights games is that it essentially became four teams fighting for two spots rather than three teams fighting for one.
