...for a Red Wings win threads?

Didn't see one this time.  Not that anything we do makes any difference, but maybe out of superstition we should make one for Thursday?

If you're doing something purely out of superstition, it really serves no purpose.

Fair enough.  It was just a tradition for as long as I've been a member here.  If we're not doing it anymore then that's all there is to it.

To answer your question, yes there was a thread today for 250 posts for "A Wings Victory" and shortly after it reached it's goal it was locked and removed. After asking a site moderator I was told that after those threads reach their limit and are locked they are removed shortly after to avoid clutter in the General Discussion area of the forums.

And no, we didn't win, some are superstitious and some enjoy doing it just to burn a few hours before game time. That site tradition still carries on regardless of it's effectiveness.

I understand the locking, but I wonder if they couldn't remain in the Water Cooler rather than being deleted.  Then they wouldn't take up space in the GD, but we'd be able to peruse them the next day.

I know it sounds silly, but there's some funny stuff in those sometimes, so I read through them, even when the post count is in the thousands.

Just a thought.

I actually thought perhaps it was moved to WC when it hit the post goal -- as opposed to hitting the goal post, a task at which the Wings excel. ;)

I liked reading through the thread too.
