I love how's it Howard's fault for the team falling apart in front of him. I don't think we touched the puck more than a couple times in like 12 minutes. Howard is a part of the blame, but no one should single him out. It's not like he let in a Carey price type goal tonight.

or a quick

OK, am I the only one who wants to see Lashoff in for Smith on Saturday now?

No, you are not. They're not really the same player, but smith has brought nothing to the table. I'll take solid D over nothing any day.

This does not bode well. Dekeyser has easily been the Wings best dman since he got here.

That's a bit of an exaggeration, given that he has been playing against the opposition's 3rd and 4th lines.

With how badly the Duck's forecheck had the Wings frazzled in the 3rd, I want no part of White being in the lineup.

Agreed. White is the last of the three d-man options I want to see play on Saturday. Colaiacovo moves the puck well, so I probably prefer him slightly over Lashoff.

Shame about DeKeyser regardless. Stepped right in and played like a veteran. The Wings will miss his speed and sound defensive play on the back end. I thought he was the best d-man for the Red Wings in the first two games.

Hope Dekeyser doesn't pull a Brendan Smith when he returns next year.

ANAHEIM – Make room in the oral history books for this edition of Anaheim Ducks and Detroit Red Wings.

While the stakes were not quite as high as in previous meetings in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the final 22 minutes represented everything that is heart-pounding and gut-wrenching about this rivalry.

and it's scary how shaky Kronwall has been, he just can't seem to settle down and play, seems to still be trying to do too much out there and it's hurting the team

he's the one who now needs to step up and play like he did in '08

wait, I missed something here when did dk break his thumb? this is very bad for us... this news makes me question our ability to go deep in the playoffs, hopefully colo can step up big time, but with how physical a team anaheim is, I don't know how long before he gets injured again

We need to pair someone with Kronwall who can handle the puck around and do the offensive bit. Leave Kronwall to skate around the ice and look for someone to Kronwall into next week.
