Brian Lashoff to take Dekeyser's place in game 3

im all for lashoff for game 3 ... hes a much bigger body ( 6'3 200+ ) than white or lashoff he kills penalties and blocks a ton of shots and since hes a bigger guy he will be able to hang in there better with the big guys from the ducks than white or coliacovo who will be pushed around

if white or coliacovo goes in it will lead to a costly turnover in my opinion and we'll regret it ... lashoff was highly counted on at one point and i think hes the guy who SHOULD get the nod

Babs mentioned Cola and Lashoff after the game to John Keating.

Him not mentioning White should be a sign.

Lash off will be in game 4 if not game 3. If I'm Babs, I dress em both and put Lashoff on the 4th line until Colo gets hurt 5 minutes into the game.

Will definitely be an interesting decision... Do you go playoff experience in Cola & white or Size & youth in Lashoff? Thank god I won't make the pick lol

easy for me white and cola are highly overrated, theres a reason why they played for alot of teams and both can be manhandled and turn the puck over

lashoff is big , blocks alot of shots which we will need now with dekeyser gone and kills penalties and wont be pushed around easily like the other 2

Cola isn't that bad if he's healthy, he's just never healthy. I would give the nod to lashoff, at the very least you get playoff experience for a young guy that will be a part of your future. Wouldn't blame babs if he goes cola though.

Pretty much. I'd just keep the former Leafs out of the picture and have Lashoff in there blocking shots and grinding down the other team along the boards and the front of the net.

Sigh. I guess I guess I'll just defer to Babcock to decide which of the seemingly dozen fringe NHL defensemen we have on our squad will be the least cancerous to us and go with that guy. I suppose it could be Lashoff. White's right handed shot and experience SHOULD make him the favorite, but he also seems the most gaffe-prone out of the options.

Really bummed about about DeKe going down, though if you watched him in Gms 1 and 2, he was getting thrown around like a ragdoll out there. He has great wheels and poise for a guy his age, but he's definitely more Bouwmeester than Chara out there.

Might not be a bad idea to keep 7 Dmen anyways, right?

I don't see Babs going with Lashoff, especially given the fact that he - at least publicly - is laying last night's meltdown squarely on the collective shoulders of our young, inexperienced guys.

It's tempting to call Lashoff the safe option, because he plays a pretty "quiet" game. But there's a reason he's been sitting.

(But, if it were up to me, I'd probably go with him.)

I won't be upset to see Colo, but White isn't good. It will bother me if Anaheim gets a monster cycle going because of White.

Khan just tweeted Babs said he's going with Lashoff

Right move imo. I liked Lashoff when he was up, and sink or swim the experience will be worth more for his development than for White/Cola, neither of which I see as part of our future.

He needs to put on some mass. This was evident to start.
