Great post. I agree fully. He handled his duties against Getzlafs line perfectly. He showed flashes offensively too and kept the puck going in their end. Guy was a magnet out there.

Let's go to Anaheim and steal road game! That was the best, scariest and most exciting game I've watched in a long time. The wings couldn't have possibly played any better!

You can see a huge influence of Datsyuk on Flip's game. He's taking his time and looking around and becoming more dangerous offensively.

It's so nice that the kids are kicking in their share! This is what Dynasties are made of! Not saying that this group of youngsters are going to be as good as our 90's youngsters, but this is how it was created back then, a bunch of kids growing together and learning together. I think that line of Andersson, Brunner and Nyquist could be a good line to keep together next season. Let these three continue to grow together.

On a down note, I am not impressed with Sammy or Bertuzzi playing...they need to stop and they need to not be on this team next season...

On an even DOWNER note....damn that Howard is average....

My only knock on Howard was that his rebound control was poor early. But he EASILY made up for that with some key breakaway stops.

He is still not worth $5M a season. I seriously hope he settles for around $4M. We need our cap to re-sign our rookies. Nyquist, Brunner, Smith, Andersson are all FA's that NEED to be re-signed. Brunner being the only UFA, but they are ALL very important to the future of this team (as they have proven tonight) and we cannot afford to blow half our Cap space on Filppula. If he won't come down from his $5M demands, he needs to be traded at the draft.

But that is for another conversation! Lets enjoy this win and bring it home in game 6!
