Well we already have more wins this year in the playoffs than last year.

That was one of the best games I've seen in a looooooooooong time. Wow. Amazing effort by the team.

Yes we had some defensive breakdowns, yes I would have liked to see us score more goals based on all the pressure we had.

But wow. This team. I LIKE OUR TEAM. It's not perfect, it's not always good, but it's OURS.

How money is Nyquist in OT? How great was Howard tonight?

What planet does Datsyuk come from?????

I don't even need answers, I just know one thing: we have a chance in this series. Bring on Game 5 !!!

I disagree. Detroit held the puck and had tons of shots but most were from the outside. Howard faced more top notch scoring chances than Hiller. It could have easily been 3 or 4 nothing going into the third. That in my opinion is why Howie stole it.

Yeah, that's somewhat true, but the second half of the game, our chances got much better.  We were no longer shooting from the outside.

But yes, without Howard's saves during those great Anaheim chances, we wouldn't have won. Not sure if that's the same as stealing. I think of Giguere in 2003 as stealing a game (series).

hard to disagree with either of you.  I felt Detroit controlled the majority of the play (especially ot) but the ducks got more quality chances.  Jimmy stood on his head for sure.

Well other than checking Howard on the 2nd goal yes it was probably Smiths best game of the series.

That was Lashoff, not Smith.
It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.

Brunner, it doesn't get much easier than that.

finally a bounce went our way

we were due for an easy tap-in

glad it came in OT

With DD back in and Helm next year we are pretty set to be replenished by rookies over the next few years. Hopefully Jarnkrok is what we think he can be. Pulks has looked good in GR too and might be closer to the big club than we think. We will have too many assets than roster spots and this could set us up to trade for the top pairing dman we need.

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?

Datsyuk and Zetterberg (along with Howard) were clearly the best players for Detroit tonight. This series has literally been back and forth, win, loss, etc.

Love the kid line. Solid game from Jimmy after looking shaky early. Hopefully THIS team shows up in Anaheim. Keep them on their heels, Hiller will break eventually, especially when his own guys tackle him out of position.

Best of three. Go Wings!

What a game. Howard answered the bell, Datsyuk is phenomenal and Brunner and Nyquist are money. Time to steal Game 5 in Anaheim!

And a big FU to the refs for calling only one penalty on the Ducks when we knew there were plenty of them you could of called but didn't.

Ahthankya.  :blind:

edit: Wow. A severe case of homeritis for Ken and Mick. Is that just tonight, or have all 4 games been that way? Not that I mind.
