Don't judge me, but I cried when the game came to an end. Proud, isn't enough to describe how I feel towards this team.

Just watched the game recording since it started at 5am local time for me. Prettyf****** awesome game and series, gotta give the Ducks credit as well. Now it's time to blow the Hawks out.

Is it just me or is it that much sweeter as the 7th seed upsetting the 2nd seed team? For once the spotlight wasn't on us and we triumphed anyway, so damn proud of what we overcame in this series and still brought it home.

GO WINGS!!

This round should surely put to rest the talk about Ryan being a good fit for this team. He was invisible during almost the entire series; and from what I've been told by certain Ducks fans, this happens often.

Yeah, in the final seconds Etem was on the line with Getzlaf and Perry, not Ryan. That says something.

For once it's nice to know that this years WIngs are not an entirely veteran team who might run out of gas as the playoffs progress. All of those young rookies on our team make bonehead plays at times, but their energy level may be what drives us deeper into the playoffs.

Shoot, can we get Etem on our team? Kid is good.

Wait, was there a game yesterday? Who won?

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

I'm calling it...

Detroit Red Wings vs Toronto Maple Leafs for the Cup ....that is if the leafs win Monday night......

This would be my dream come true.  We almost saw it once...2002 I think?  but Carolina made it in instead.  Epic way to start an awesome eastern division rivalry and set up the outdoor game...we are getting ahead of ourselves haha...

So this is what it feels like to be on the other side of a first round upset.

I like it!

Both Ottawa and Detroit advance. That 7th seed really is magical.

Some thoughts from last night since I wasn't posting during game:

Why did Franzen get the dual penalty for the scrum? And even the Duck who was put in wasn't even the guy who threw a punch (I think it was Allen trying to punch one of the Wings (not even Franzen)... horrible cleanup and penalizing of that fight by the refs.

I thought the boarding call that got called on Wings mid game was a bad call, it looked like barely a hit.

Is there any player in the NHL that is worthy of playing for the red wings in your opinion?

Shakey logic there.
