It's the fans listening that are biased, not the announcers.

By and large, I think the NBC crew does a nice job.  Ken Kal sounds like a cartoon character and why Paul uh, Woods, uh, has uh, a job, uh in broadcasting, uh, is beyond me.

There is some truth to this, but I know that Eddie is pretty badly for the Hawks and has a hard time being impartial.

Hey, I am watching the Leafs game, what are the chances of us drawing Dave Strader for our series against the Hawks? That would be cool!

I'm sorry but in my opnion you're wrong.  Eddie O is biased in regards to the Hawks.  I don't mind Doc and Pierre but Edzo is grating on the ears.to listen to that Hawks homer.

No funny tips like send out a hitman to 'Tonya Harding' Edzo's vocal chords?

Don't forget to take a drink everytime Endzo says "active stick" and the "active boards at Joe Louis Arena"

Wasn't it last season that Edzo let out a disgusted audible sigh on the air when the Wings beat his Hawks in OT on the NBC Game of the Week?  Been looking around for the clip but haven't been able to find it.  I think that says it all as far as his bias goes.  He's gotten bad enough where I actually don't mind Pierre is talking 'cause that means I don't have to hear Edzo.

CBC has picked the Detroit/Chicago series, along with Ottawa/Pitt (of course).

Now someone explain (PM me?) an easy way to stream CBC games without buying a VPN, please.

So FSN Detroit is done for the year...  Damnit.  We'll miss you Ken and Mick!

Onward to NBC and NBCSN.  And you just know a certain Edzo will be there.  How fitting for a series against the Hawks.  Sigh...

Anybody got any creative tips on how to tolerate the NBC broadcasting?

NHL.com says CBC will be showing the Wings.  Good for me since I'm in Canada.

If anyone can't see the obvious bias by edzo after this game, I don't know what will. Pathetic that NBC allows him to call national televised games involving the Blackhawks.

I can usually watch the games on CBC through my regular tv antennae, but wasn't able to tonight because of bad weather in my area cutting out the signal

When I don't like who's calling the game I mute the t.v. & turn the radio on.

One more way to tolerate them:  Watch with friends and make fun of them.  Or just do it on your own if you have thick curtains and/or walls.

and one of my favorite Edzo's comments that subtle interference Detroit has been doing both at the defensive end and the offensive end. Umm dude Smith got a penalty last night so must not be that subtle....

I am enjoying yelling at the TV and saying you are such a d!!!

Typically I just ignore them.  They're like background noise unless they say something really stupid like "Rang off the pipe... and its counts!!" (Emmerick's call of Datsyuk's goal last night)  Yes, the Wings are so blessed that hitting the post counts as a goal. lol

You poor, poor people. Uncle Gary provides coverage on a third-rate sports channel, so he really doesn't care about the quality of the broadcast crew. If he wants to build on the number of "the greatest fans in the world", Americans deserve better on the national NBC network. But he won't do that.

If all else fails, the only way to tolerate them is to make it into a drinking game.
