This game is a prime example of how a team can finish their checks without running all over the ice.. you dont have to crush a guy through the glass every time..just get in on them and rub them out into the boards every time. Over the course of a game and series it will make their D make mistakes.  Keep it up..great 2 periods.

I got no more "Likes".  So I give this a smiley.   :)

The Hawks are making themselves out to be the victims here.  This is BS.

Now these retards are going to get all the calls next game (like this one) as make up calls for the disallowed goal.

Screw this media bias.

They should NOT be talking about the refs, they have been the beneficiaries of more non-calls than Detroit in this series. In my opinion, there have already been about 3 penalties that should have been 5 minute majors by them and suspensions from Banahan in this series. Two Shaw elbows to the head and a cross check to the back of the head.

It was kinda obvious the goal that was waived off was kind of a make up call for the non call on franzen. But Chicago does a great job playing the victim and will get an extra day to complain about it to the media.

From what 'Hawks fans are saying on HF, they like him just about as much as we do (which is to say not at all).

The NHL-N analysts are saying that the disallowed goal was a by-the-book call.

Pavel takes a minute during intermission to call Sam Bernstein, and see if he can file a copyright infringement lawsuit against Nyquist

Yeah, I have to stop reading the HFBoards and actually read logical analysis. They are delusional and emotional over there, much like we would be if we lost.

I am glad that even after finally winning a Stanley Cup, Q still reverts back to his default setting when trouble hits from the Wings....Whining about officiating and thuggery

I wish Keating would shut the f*** up about whether or not the Wings are under the Hawks skin.  Stop setting media traps for them you moron.

Hey, I started the X posts thread and made it X=321 because I felt the Wings would win 3-1....ya me!

I like how even though the Hawks had the refs in their back pockets all game, they burned their bridges with them at the end of the 3rd.  BTW, I thought the Ducks were out of the playoffs? F'ing baby ass pieces of crap these Hawks are... Toews got his way with the refs not calling jack pookie on the Hawks all game long...Wings had 2 PP into the 3rd to Hawks 5. There was a PLETHORA of non-calls, Smith took a flying elbow to the head in the 1st, Abby had his stick hacked out of his hands on a breakaway, the Franzen non-call (even though I think he tried to play it up a bit.)  It was a hit from behind and should have been a boarding call, but Franzen did embellish it just a bit.  It's nice that even with the Ref's so obviously trying to give Chicago the game, the Wings still kicked ass... This may have been the straw that broke the back of the Hawks...They should know by now that the Wings are for real and just because they are the #1 seed and won all 4 games against us in the regular season and went like 23 games without a regulation loss means nothing to the Wings...

I'm starting to get really excited about this team. If we get Danny D and dare I say Helm :ninja: back the sky is the limit. I don't know how they're doing it because we've had so many rosters filled with way more talent but they're doing it.

if we go up 3-1 i'll get really excited. Still so much of this series is still to be played, but this is definitely encouraging, and surprising to many.

What was the key component? To me it didn't look like the Hawk player touched Howard, I thought if anything it was a kicked in goal.

Is that wave-off the makeup for the non-call?

I thought it was.  But we were overdue.  And the boyz on NBC said it shouldn't have been called.  But then they never mentioned the fact that the refs missed about six calls for us.  Yes.  Well...

I know it was a 6 weeks thing which would've been right after the finals ended I think? With a little luck who knows.

Establishing position in the crease and making no effort to get out is illegal. Makes sense.
