gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 I want to be positive, but I don't think we're winning game 7 in their building at this point. We're capable, sure, and I'd love to see it, but I wouldn't put my money on it. I've been saying it since we won game 4, I'm fine with losing 5, but we need to close it in 6 if we're going to win. Chicago is too good of a team to let them back into it and then have to head back to their building for a game 7. They really needed to get this done tonight, and they were in position to do so and they got sloppy. It's a shame, and you can talk all you want about the bulls*** penalty shot, the refs, but we couldn't win a face off and we were way too sloppy, way too often. We weren't good enough. Not even close. 1 datterberg1340 reacted to this
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 Howard's 20 goals allowed in the 3rd period is so clutch. Average numbers for sure.

Firehawk 305 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 when all is said and done and i calm down, I'll go back what what i've said all post season. The idea they got to the 2nd round and got to 3-1 on chicago is amazing. I didn't expect them to win 1 game against chi. The future looks bright, but man the defense needs some coaching. Way too many turnovers and howard bailed us out of most of them. Too many I got it you take it situations, too many passes around in the zone and turning it over, etc. With all that said, I'm so sick of complaing about the refs, it really makes me not want to watch the NHL anymore, and I'm losing my desire year after year as it just gets worse. I thought the refs were good earlier in the series for the msot part. Let most stuff go both ways and let the teams play, would get involved shortly here in there but otherwise stay out of it. Tonight that younger ref called most of the stuff I thought. I think he called the penalty shot

brett 1,029 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 hockey was so much better back in the day. i cant stand this league anymore, theyve destroyed it. players diving, crying to the ref, embellishing, crying to the media, just to get the upper hand. its cheap and disgusting. then you got refs listening to them, calling games one ways. making wrong calls, calling clean hits dirty. i dont think i will be watching too much longer its just not worth the aggravation. once in awhile but i think its just going to get worse. i miss the good old days where players decided the game. where players were men not boys 3 CaliforniaWingsFan, Hockeymom1960 and Lazerbeam reacted to this
Tr!PoD#19 524 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 On the PS call, that's at least the 4th time this series I've seen a stick on stick play called as a hook or a slash. It's getting ridiculous. You're allowed to knock a guys stick without getting a slash called. 1 Lazerbeam reacted to this
NHLrules? 32 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 All night our guys were falling all over like they went out for a few adult beverages before the game. Including Dats. That's why we lost. The first and third being the worst of it.
joesuffP 1,746 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 Look what happened when we put an ice cold colo in... Smith is the worst defenseman on the ice night in night out. With smith out and White in for this game I bet we win

Guest Crymson Report post Posted May 28, 2013 Whatever the case, this game is over and it's time to hope for a better conclusion on Wednesday night. A game-seven defeat of this Blackhawks team in their home arena would be a memory I'd cherish forever. 4 8 Legged RedWing, datterberg1340, derblaueClaus and 1 other reacted to this
Mitchmac33 103 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 Zero momentum for the Wings going back to Chicago. Already a successful season but that 3-1 series lead was such an annoying tease. There is no carry over effect. It's a completely independent game. 3-0 Wings on Weds

BigWinston 15 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) I see NBC f***ed up again and missed that all important game deciding stat there. Smith's - Chicago had 0 where unfortunately the wings had 1. joesuffP 1,746 Report post Posted May 28, 2013 Smith should have been sitting since Game 2 in Anaheim. White is a veteran and will be playing for a contract. There is no chance in hell he can be worse than smith but there is a chance he can be atleast competent and that will go a long way 1 Hairy Lime reacted to this
