Great season for what was a transition year for the Wings. A lot to look forward to with these young guys.

GO WINGS!

They just refuse to call that slewfoot!!!!!

Jones finally called it "there was that little trip from..."

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.

It's a shame that the Blackhawks get to advance when it was the officials who clearly won the series

How that's not a penalty on Bolland for that hit from behind on Nyquist...   I'm really not sure though.    That's pretty sad...   Nyquist shoulda stayed down and pretended to be hurt I guess...  apparently that's the only way the NHL calls those hits.

At least 3 times the Hawks could have been called for boarding. The refs just didn't want to call it.

Aside from the extremely disappointing series loss, these Wings are real good. Great experiences this season, but hope this teaches them the need for the killer instinct.

I'm not as mad as I thought I would be. Didn't really deserve to win this series. Get better in the offseason I think the team is only going to get better from here on

I don't know why he just didn't stick his stick out for a poke check. Puck probably goes out of play

Because he's not Lidstrom, and every defenseman who is not Nick makes mistake sometimes. That said, this was simply a very bad bounce.

I blame Filppula for being completely invisible for this game.

Game 7 records this season:
With Filppula: 1-0
W/o Filppula: 0-1

Just cause you look like the gimp don't mean you play like the gimp!

My sarcasm meter just exploded.

I'm proud of this team. The future looks bright and playing in the East should be a good move.

Is it October yet?

But if you had to point a finger at just one player, who would it be?

For argument's sake.

Well duh Babcock he didn't pull the right strings with the "massive" amount of talent at his disposal....yes I am being sarcastic

It's times like these that I question the logic of being a fan. The disappointments seem to far outweigh the good times. I don't mean this as an indictment on the wings, just sports fandom in general. I'm only rooting for the Harlem globetrotters from now on.

Howard was outstanding I thought... especially down the stretch.

I think in the offseason, we need to continue to infuse the youth into the lineup.  It's time to move on from Franzen.  Bertuzzi. etc. etc.  Time to get these youngsters up permanently.  That includes Tatar before he decides to leave for his lack of playing time in the big show.  Keep the youth movement going, watching these older guys, especially tonight shows... its time to move on IMO.

I feel for Jimmy. He's finally established himself as an elite goalie that can get the job done, and the only 2 goals that beat him are off a 3on1 and af****** deflection. Makes me sick, the hockey gods can go to f*** here tonight.

I think what actually sucks the most about this is that it's not entirely surprising because a) Chicago in fact is a better team than most of us would ever like to admit and b) our team still just isn't good enough. You get this feeling, like a tease, that maybe the reverse is true, and it feels good. But then reality comes crashing down in one painfully elongated swoop.

And it just sucks.

This team played better than it should have. Came close to beating the president's trophy winners... But didn't have the depth to go all the way. I'm excited for the draft and free agency, a lot of adjustments need to be made.

Can't believe we really sucked that much and lost. I hate it. This teams needs some adjustments, but we played very very well and surpassed all expectations. The future is bright.

I like how if the hawks didn't score nobody would be taking about that call at all.
