In that video you see mclellan asking the official not to make diving signals to embarrass his player - i say let EVERYONE see the shame. Maybe instead of a minor for diving we should see the next minor penalty negated instead so we dont see 40min of pp every night.

Pretty bad. I think there were a coulple (no more than 2) in there that were legitimate non-dives and the ones with the goalies I guess you have to let go a bit because all goalies do it....some much worse than others though.

I wouldn't expect anything less out of the Sharks you'd think after so many years of getting beat in the playoffs they would just learn to work hard and win on that but I guess they will never learn they continue to think they can win on flopping around. Bunch of pantyhose wearing sissies. LA on the other hand should know better but they prolly got sick of Sharks acting a fool and returned the favor.

Terrible. This made me so mad. Diving is one of my biggest pet peeves so this was especially hard to watch.

That said, this vid was really well made.

Around the 2:00 mark, Brown snaps his head back and starts to go down before he is touched!! Couture is really bad too.

This is what's wrong with the game. Until they only call a penalty on the dive this will continue. A player knows that if he dives, the worst thing that will happen is 4 on 4 hockey. It's ridiculous and has to change.

100% agree with this. Instead of trying to skate hard through a check or a hook, guys just fall down. It's really pathetic sometimes.

Wow. Just wow. And that clip of McLellan complaining to the refs that the diving motion is making his players look bad???? That's just shameful. Honestly, how the head coach of a top NHL team could have the lack of shame to do that?

I do feel sorry for the refs when they have to try and sift the dives from the penalties, but until they start calling Couture et al for diving, the players are going to keep on doing it.

Just start calling every over dramatic reaction a dive. After a while people will learn to take a stick to the face and keep skating.

They can call it the flopping penalty.
