When the Canadian Men's hockey team takes the ice at the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, they will have some familiar faces behind the bench.

TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com is reporting that Detroit Red Wings head coach Mike Babcock, the man that led Canada to gold at the Vancouver 2010 Games, will once again be the team's bench boss.

LeBrun is also reporting that St. Louis Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock and former Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff will return as associate coaches.

The staff will be rounded out by Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien.

Babcock captured the Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings in 2008; he also coached Canada to gold at the 1997 and 2004 IIHF World Championships.

Cool how the other teams' fans respect our true talent = Babcock, Datsyuk.

Did you support Canada last time, when they had Crosby, Iginla, Pronger, this ******, that ******, etc?

Lol...barely. I think I was just cheering for Z and Dats and didn't care much for Canada's player selections. Next olympics should be a nasty good team Canada. I'll actually cheer for them and like the team.

I will not cheer for Canada unless Dan Cleary is on the team.

He was at the Olympic selections camp in August 2009 in Calgary  Safe to say he won't be there this time.

Good for Babs, right man for the job. Confident he'll get the job done again.

No I did not, and I won't this time either.

Wonder if Jimmy will get any ice time, with Kings darling Quick sure to start.

I guess Team Sweden it is, then.

usa will be about as gritty as they come. That, paired with 3 of the top 5/6 goalies will win them gold

They can't play all 3 goalies at once you know ;)

Anyway, the Olympics is a real crap-shoot. So many single-elimination games in such a short space of time. Look at that loaded roster Canada had last time, and they won on a scuffed shot along the ice.

With no horse in this race, I guess I'll be cheering for Pav and Russia :)

I'm betting if Helm is healthy to start the season he centers Canada's fourth line.

I don't think he will have a chance.
