Im happy with this move. More goals means a more entertaining game.
Here we go 11-10 games!

I thought this was going to be about the OTHER CHL, which is a joke of a minor league. I'd believe that one.

No, its the combined big 3 Canadian Juniors.

:eh:

I can't imagine too many NHL GM's will be happy about this. See Petr Mrazek and his OHL stint. GM's don't care where the f-ing goaltenders come from, as long as they're produced.

What's next, no American's allowed to be in the CHL?

This should be the cue for all European players to exit the CHL immediately.  Stand up for your fellow countrymen.

Boo Hoo CHL, what does your Va-J-J hurt? Does it stink that the top 5 goalies in the NHL are either American or European? Hey you still got Crawford...but he has the same label as Osgood.  On that team, my grandma could be a Stanley Cup goalie...

Well, they probably would have gone there now, but couldn't because there are American teams in the CHL.

I totally understand the approach....we don't want to develop other countries players only to then compete against them later.  An extreme example might be where Team Canada loses against Team "x", but all the players from Team "x" are Canadian trained.  It is strange that it would be goalie focused and not all players (but goalie position is the issue right now).

Now, the flip side to that is that perhaps your Canadian players don't develop as well as they could because they aren't playing against the top competition possible.

This is quite sad, shame on you CHL. At the end of the day it should be the best goalie gets the job doesn't matter what race where he's from

Why do you think us Canadians have such wood for Brodeur?  We have some good goalies, but we pump up hacks like Malcolm Subban instead of good goalies like Patterson who should have started for Canada at the WJHC last year and wonder why our goalies don't develop as they should.  I'm not very proud of our latest string of goalies that falls way short of up and comers and proven goalies that include the likes of Mrazek, Quick, Howard, Lundqvist and such.  We have an aged Brodeur, Subban and then ever entertaining Luongo who is currently fighting for his job with yet another American goalie.  And don't forget Fleury who lost his starting job to Vokoun.  Canadian goalies NEED to fight for their jobs and be pushed by outside sources.  What kind of message does it send to them when they're handed jobs in the CHL that they don't deserve?
