Brunners alleged asking price was fair. It's a shame we couldn't ditch Sammy and sign him. That little weasel can rot in the minors for all I care. I hope we can sign nyquist Andy and smith

This sucks but Tatar deserves his big chance

Exactly. Tatar has put in several years in GR a couple short call ups, should have stayed last year. Tatar EARNED his shot.

Brunner will sign with the Canucks and will win the Rocket Richard Trophy next season playing with the Sedins. You heard it here first.

I love how everyone who is all over Brunner apparently forgot about Brunnstrum.

He had a good year too, went for money and then when was the last time we heard from Fabian?

I can find some of the same posters saying the same things about Brunner they were saying about Brunnstrum.

Sammy appears to have become a problem.  I did not like the signing and him using a questionable injury to handcuff management (which impacts the roster) may not go over well come this fall.

Brunner - I like the guy, but this is a numbers game.  Tatar (hopefully) can look to fill that spot, at a lower cost.

Nyquist and Smith will be signed.

This is just a negotiation tactic.  I read somewhere last year that Suter's agent (same as Brunner's) always advised his clients to go to free agency and wait it out.  I obviously haven't followed this dude's career or anything, but it looks like the same bag of tricks.  Push them to free agency, and wait to see how how teams will go in the scramble.  I doubt Detroit goes any higher, but Brunner might well find that he's better off where he was after this all plays out.

GMRwings:  "Well, in other civilized countries, 16 years old isn't considered underage.  For instance, I believe the age of consent is 16 in Canada.  There's some US states where it's 16 as well.

Get off the high horse.  Not like she was 10."

"Some girls are 17 even though they look 25."
