Good for him.  I knew he did the smoke detector thing, but I didn't know he provided drinking water for people in Africa.

He just keeps getting better every time I hear something about him.

Money on the board!  Current total: $2

$1 for each goal scored by a current Wing after whom I've named a hamster.  +$5 if one scores a hat trick.

+$1 if a GWG.  +$5 if it is a GWG in a series-winning game.+$50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.

$5 for each time a goalie after whom I've named a hamster prevents all opposing shots from going in the net.

The hamsters names are as follows (current Wings in red)

Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert

Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

Andrew (Drew) Patrick Ian Todd

Jordin Damien Gustav James

I know it wouldn't be nearly as glamorous, but there are people in need (of things other than smoke detectors) in Detroit.

Most nights, my posts are brought to you by some sort of IPA and a heaping dose of sarcasm.

People might be needy in Detroit but they probably don't need water in the quantities Z is enabling.

Not to mention that by giving them water, it is enabling the kids there to spend hours in school instead of spending hours each day carrying water.  It opens up a whole new life for them.

Z also supports the Children's hospital, as well as other local things.

If you're donating your time and money for the betterment of those in need, I feel you should be immune to any criticisms of where those resources are allocated.
