Walleye season opened here Mother's day weekend.

Which it usually does.

Is it that much later in Michigan?

He's going to reveal that he voted for Jake Allen in the TSN Play of the Year showdown.

So would the contract end 3 years from now? Or 3 years after his current contract ends after next season?

Datsyuk's agent is coming to town...

What would you pay?

I'd go $40M/5 yr without thinking about it.

So would the contract end 3 years from now? Or 3 years after his current contract ends after next season?

A 3 yr extension would mean he's a Wing for at least 4 more years.

3 years $18M would be nice :)

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk
