Let's hope Kenny's not paying attention.

I would pass on Kaberle, but it is very interesting and intriguing to see that teams are already announcing the buyout candidates.  I hope something of value pops up that could help us.

The amnesty buyouts have to be used between the end of the SC finals and July 4. So yes this week will be interesting to us fans, and painful for a lot of players and their families.

BTW I am hoping TB buys out Vinny LeCav. Would love to see him as our 2nd line C.

Kaberle is softer than melted butter.  I would vomit if I even saw him in a Wings shirt let alone a jersey.

Dan Cleary is an Xbox 360.  While good for a while, it's time for the new generation to take over.

His career has gone downhill after leaving the Leafs but whatever, the guy has made a lot of money so I am sure he can enjoy early retirement.

Heatley?

Also, Philly's capgeek already reflects Briere's buyout and they are still $1.4M over the cap...wonder who is next?

Make it happen, K...Sorry, I can't keep that up.

"And the best, I must confess, I have saved for the last, for the ruler of this Christmas land,

is a fearsome king with a deep mighty voice, least, that's what I've come to understand.

And I've also heard it told, that he's something to behold, like a lobster, huge and red!

When he sets out to slay with his rain gear on, carting bulging sacks with his big great arms, that is so I've heard it said.

And on a dark cold night, under full moon light, he flies into a fog like a vulture in the sky!

And they call him Sandy Claws!

That's without Pronger on IR.  Put him on LTIR and they're under the cap.......just.

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Is there a page some place that shows all the buyouts in one place?

Kabs will go for 2.5 or so, nothing we need.

BUT....

I am liking that we're seeing some bigger names pop up now, that means more activity....nearly every team should be using at least one buyout. More churn, should inspire more trades....should be interesting 10 days from now.

Pretty much this...

And to think he won a Cup with the Bruins just a few short years ago - although he didn't stand out, and was very average.

He'll probably wind up with the Isles, or Panthers.

I honestly see him making league minimum or just around 1M per year... was never superb but has definately taken a turn for the worst

Pavel datsyuk is the best player in the world because he snatches the puck from unsuspecting players and  follows it up by the simultaneous undressing of the defence pairing. The goalie then gives up, and flops like a fish. The end result is a calm skate back to his bench  where he can bask in the praise of his multiple girlfriends from the motherland.

Our defense does need a little bit of a boost, but I'm not sure.  His passing skills would do great here, but I don't know about the rest of his game.  Teams are so desperate for defensemen right now though, I bet someone throws a decent amount of cash his way, so its really a non-issue for us.
