Huge trade in the works. Boston and Dallas close on a deal sending Tyler Seguin to Stars for Loui Eriksson. Other parts involved as well.

Jim Nill showing Holland how its done.

Seguin is promising but damn... Eriksson is a great two-way player, really really solid and complete player. Boston would look so good with Bergeron+Eriksson.

Dallas is starving for centres. This works because seguin has potential to grow as he is only 21. Eriksson is on a great deal and a better player NOW but dallas is looking long term and seguin could be the answer long term.

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?

Wow!

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger 3m

I'm told there are 7 pieces to the Seguin-Eriksson trade. 3 prospects moving from Stars. 4 players total.

LOL im glad i got everyone wound up with that post. But seriously, holland couldnt even get assets for fil this year and has made some pretty head scratching moves the last offseason. Makes me wonder.

Making a big deal about Boston and Dallas trade? ... but how could the Wings swing something like this without just hurting themselves ... like if we were to trade for Ryan ... ok ... big immediate whoop, but what about 2-5 years from now when the "core" can't bear the weight? I'd rather have 1-2 more years of "we can make the playoffs, then we'll just see what happens" followed by "boy, we have a fresh core of players who can carry us to the next level and win it, rather than "BIG TRADE, HELL YEAH ... oh, wait ... what'd we give up? ..." and still have to fill those holes with an overpriced free agent when our remaining prospects aren't ready.

Overreaction? Probably ... life goes on ...

Dreger is saying Wings want Alfredsson. If they get him I will have lost any faith I had in Kenny.

Good to see the Wings apprehension on trading players wasn't an entire staff issue but just a Holland issue. Can't blame Nill for mixing that awful team up.

Just awful but exactly the BS move I could see Holland making.

Eriksson is so much better than seguin it isn't funny. My hatred of Boston aside this is a killer trade for them getting Eriksson is a steal

detroit would look even better with zetterberg seguin on the 2nd line .. so much damage :(

wish kenny would pull a quick one one nill :( .... franzen tatar smith for seguin?

i heard peverly is involved in the deal and other players and checking dallas's roster not much there upfront  unless they throw in whitney but he's old dont know why boston would want him

Eriksson is def the more complete player right now but seguin is also capable of being a star in this league.

If this is true... heck of an overpayment by nill

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie 1m

Joe Morrow is believed to be one of the pieces going from DAL to BOS. Also, perhaps Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser. Looking for confirmation.

I agree that is way too much. I almost think it's fair having them traded straight up.

seguin 21 yr old on the 3rd line in boston , he goes on the 1st line next year with dallas and with benn dont be surprised if he gets 80+ pts

What's everyone's problem with Alfredsson? Besides his injuries, he can still put up points. He's playing more games than Samuelsson is at this point too.

He takes a roster spot from one of our younger guys.

I don't see the point even IF it's a one year deal.

He should be signing with the Sens no questions asked.

He isn't bad I can just think of way better ways to spend that cap money.
Now saying Peverly is part of the deal per Mackenzie.
