Horton will get it, enough teams are looking to improve and reach the cap floor.

Dan Cleary is an Xbox 360.  While good for a while, it's time for the new generation to take over.

He wants to play in warm weather, per Helene St. James and other sources.

It would be hilarious if he signed with Florida long term and then they got moved to Quebec.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: No one with the Jackets nor with his camp will confirm this, but I believe Nathan Horton's site visit today was in Columbus...

Well if he wants to play in a small market, it doesn't get much smaller.

Indeed it doesn't get much smaller than Columbus.

Question is why?

My guess is the Jackets will be offering up the "cash"

Columbus plays a hard-working, gritty style, so Horton would fit right in.

Well so much for the reports that Horton would only sign with a "warm weather" team.

Gaborik-Calvert-Horton.  If I were Horton, I'd be ok with heading to a BJ's team on quite the rise.

Does the shoulder surgery change his value?

"The more I know about people - the better I like my dog." - Mark Twain

"A wise man once told me, ‘Don’t argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can’t tell who is who'." Jay Z, Takeover

"When I was looking for a captain, I wanted a guy with the Red Wings crest tattooed on his chest," said former Detroit coach Jacques Demers, who named Yzerman captain in 1986. "Steve Yzerman was that guy."

“Told him if he wasn't ultra-competitive he couldn't come here. If he didn't bring it every day he couldn't come here, because he was going to hate it if he didn't, dislike the coach and dislike playing here.
“It's real straightforward. If you don't do it right, you're not happy here." Babcock

From the years/dollars thrown around, it doesn't look like it.  And from all appearances, he's heading to C'bus.
