details?

Tsn said 4 years, unknown $$$. He's been saying all along that he wants to stay in Chicago

@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Bickell's deal is $16 M over 4 yrs

That's a lot for a 4th liner who's played 2 months of good hockey in his career

may have been able to get more on the open market

Hawks gambling he can keep up his post-season tear, but as long as he's in a top-6 role he may almost live up to the kind of pay he's now getting

Big stay-at-home defenseman who chose the Rockets over many U.S. University scholarships he was offered. Wants to be a hockey player and will work hard and improving all parts of his game. Already over 225 pounds. Big, but docile. He gets picked apart and skaters blow by him, because he hasn't perfected his turns and hasn't even caught up to the WHL speed.
Will need to continue gaining quickness and strength but looks like a long-term project.

So big, but slow and not physical. What's the upside? Decent skill with the puck?

ethic, that is it. had 8 points in the WHL last year. Tyler Hill would have been a better pick at this point.

Wings must have seen something in him.

Some random names left out there. Tyler Hill 6-6/225 LH LW, Willem Haag 6-1/200 LH LW, Last name of Torok-played for Iowa. 6-2/195 is a Czech version of Hommer. Not a good skater but great front of net guy.

Hwil Hwheaton?

Nerd alert: I hung out briefly with Hwil Hwheaton at Comicon a few years ago. We got into an argument about hockey when i asked him how exactly one becomes a fan of the LA Kings lol. I think it goes without saying I may have been intoxicated at the time.

Edit: and before Euro Twins shows up to mess with me, I promise I'm not an alcoholic!
