Any interest? +78 in 400 games fpr the caps aint too shabby. Sounds like a decent stay at home guy. Dont know much about his play, but he's a former 1st rounder.

I guess he's okay, but i don't think he's an upgrade to any of the younger defenders Wings have.

this. He's decent from what I've seen but I'd rather keep giving our young guys time.. they're going to keep getting better

If the Wings make any moves on defense, it should be for a top-pairing quality player. Their depth otherwise is pretty strong.

That's why the Edler rumor was particularly intriguing. A top-four of Kronwall, Edler, Ericsson and DeKeyser would be among the league's best.

Edler is overrated. Canucks fans would not miss him.

Not sure how much stock I put into the opinion of that fanbase. Edler is a top-pairing defenseman regardless. There aren't many available and the Red Wings have been looking to bolster that area since missing on Suter.
