The Habs have guys dropping like flies right now.

Prust (out 4 weeks)

Pacioretty (out 3)

Brierre (concussion)

They could use a big, hard shooting , Stanley Cup winning, PP point specialist.

Right? RIGHT?

The Rangers are down alot of bodies too, and Vigneault and Sammy have ties. Probably wishful thinking but if we absorbed some salary I have a hard time believing he couldn't be moved for future considerations. (But that damn NTC also lingers)

That headline is misleading.

The actual headline is " Wings receive good news on Helm; Kronwall to return on Wednesday"

OH SURE RAIN ON MY PARADE

On the one hand, this would make a lot of sense. On the other, Prust is a(n overrated) third-line grinder, and they were able to have a lot of success last season without Briere. Pacioretty is the big loss, but three weeks actually isn't all that long, so they'll probably just elevate the roles and responsibilities of their young guns, particularly Galchenyuk and Gallagher. They're a proud franchise, and Bergevin has a lot of faith in his troops. I just see them promoting from within instead of bringing in a guy from the outside (which they might consider a black eye) who may very well add a whole lot of nothing to the lineup (double black eye). I mean, certainly if they really, really struggle, something will have to be done. And I'm sure holland would make That Phone Call. But so far they're right up there with us in the standings. And, really, do we want Sammy to come back and haunt us? I'm not a huge believer in the Habs, but I think they might give us problems in a postseason series.

Now, the Rags...that might be more realistic. Because, wow, they are incredibly terrible thus far.

But if you were Sammy, would you accept a trade to Florida? I wouldn't.. (ntc)

Rather than sit.
Yes.
And he knows he won't be resigned here, so go to Florida, pretend to bring some veteran leadership and bust butt to have a decent year and hopefully get an extension there.

Wha? What's the context of this? Did he leave practice?

Yeah, I read somewhere, can't remember where (one of the usual places) that he didn't participate in drills. Which is sort of a big deal, isn't it?

Devastating, he's my favorite player behind Datsyuk.

Holy balls this is frustrating! I guess that's what happens when you're out of practice for as long as Helm has been...

Not too surprising he'll experience stuff like this while trying to return, as long as it's not his back acting up it's not the end of the world.

Yup, he's been off for over a year now, so something like this was bound to happen. And in a way it might help Kenny out a bit too, he has a bit longer to make a deal now.

I know it's not as worrisome as a back injury but God f**king dammit!  I just want to see Danger skating circles around opponents again...

Holy balls, somewhere Sammy is laughing at us while holding Ericsson and helm voodoo dolls.
