Hopefully that is a steal a year from now.

Hopefully that is a steal a year from now.

My thoughts exactly, right now that appears a little but much, but I said the same thing about Rig's deal!

"The more I know about people - the better I like my dog." - Mark Twain

"A wise man once told me, ‘Don’t argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can’t tell who is who'." Jay Z, Takeover

"When I was looking for a captain, I wanted a guy with the Red Wings crest tattooed on his chest," said former Detroit coach Jacques Demers, who named Yzerman captain in 1986. "Steve Yzerman was that guy."

“Told him if he wasn't ultra-competitive he couldn't come here. If he didn't bring it every day he couldn't come here, because he was going to hate it if he didn't, dislike the coach and dislike playing here.
“It's real straightforward. If you don't do it right, you're not happy here." Babcock

Like I said, pretty close to the Muzzin deal. Same term, a little more iron.

It's 2.5 total ... not per.

If this, (@brennnasty), is Smith's actual twitter (he's not verified) then it would appear he definitely confirms the signing.

DISREGARD. after further reading, that is clearly NOT his twitter.

Glad to have it done.  Now get Nyquist & Andersson taken care of, find a way to trim the roster of a couple of forwards, & let's get camp started.

Money on the Board 2014: $5 per series, $5 per sweep, $5 per Kronwalling, $10 per Marchand Kronwalling, $1 per Zetterberg game, $1 per 2013 Calder Cup roster player goal

HELL YES.

Love this guy. This is a STEAL. Holland got an F from me last year. A from me this year. A+ if he can untangle Sammy somehow.

Stoked right now.

I was expecting double that. Very nice.

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle... Ogie Ogilthorpe!

Good price and term, win for both sides. Smith should earn a much bigger contract in two years.

Good deal, he should round out in that span and become a solid top 4 d-man who can put up 40+ points and quarterback the powerplay.

Good contract. I don't see how anyone can be upset at the term or cap hit.
