Fedorov would be an idiot not to reach out to Datsyuk and make an offer.

It's not like he did anything underhanded.  Even in the article he's professional and completely understanding of Datsyuk's decision.  I don't get what people are up in arms about, other than already having a chip on their shoulder about Fedorov.

Like it wasn't enough when they took my boy Bykov from us in 2003.

I'll never forgive Russia for that.

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Just to create another reason to be mad at him cause he hasn't Pissed anyone off in a long time is my best guess. People need to be able to say hey look what he did now

Speaking of Pasha, as we are, may we raise a glass to toast him on his birthday.  Happy birthday to the most amazing hockey player to cross our paths in many a moon.  We love ya, Pasha!

Word.  No way Lids three-peats as Norris winner without Dmitri.

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Sorry but this is not funny. I know what you are trying to say but what happened is still horrible and one can only pray, that the KHL has improved in that regard.

My comment was part jest - part serious...

It's pretty well known that Soviet era, and even modern Russian passeneger aircraft aren't exactly up to par with their N.American/European counterparts (pilots/air crew/ground crew qualities apply here as well).

Some years ago I read Harvard grad/American born hockey player Tod Hartje's experience playing for Sokol Kiev for 1 season back in 1990...His vivid descriptions of druken passengers rolling down the aisle while taking off, surly flight crews,  and the "crudeness" of the aircraft themselves (in other words - they were lumps of crap with wings) made air travel "interesting" (if not downright frightening) to say the least.

Didn't mean to offend anyone with my comment.

This right here would be enough reason for me to stay out of that league.
