Hockeytown999 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2013 Was never in doubt. One of the top 5 defensemen to ever play the game and a career wing!
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted August 25, 2013 How about Bob Rouse? I used to have a fantasy team which I named "Rouse's House"
Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted August 25, 2013 I used to have a fantasy team which I named "Rouse's House" I was just about to say almost the exact same thing. (Rhyming Rouse with house, etc.) GET OUT OF MY HEAD kthx

barabbas16 499 Report post Posted August 26, 2013 Then Crosby might have to actually, y'know, shake Lidstrom's hand. Anyway, what's more interesting to me is trying to predict which random, obscure Wings alumni will be present at the retirement ceremony? Y'know, that guy you'd even forgotten was a Wing. Kyle Calder? Matt Ellis? Sheldon Kennedy? GMR is usually good at this kind of game. Well, I'm going to go with Sheldon Kennedy as by far the most likely out of those three.... considering that neither Ellis nor Calder ever played a game with Yzerman. GoalieManPat 1,007 Report post Posted August 26, 2013 Took a couple weeks but I convinced the wife that we should get a half season ticket plan just to be sure to get tickets for this game. WIN! 2 HadThomasVokounOnFortSt and Nev reacted to this

Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted August 28, 2013 I guess I'll be re-upping with the good ole NHL Network. (Where the NHL gets hockey.)

Not that I think either will be there, but what does playing with Yzerman have to do with potentially attending Lidstrom's jersey retirment?
barabbas16 499 Report post Posted August 29, 2013 Not that I think either will be there, but what does playing with Yzerman have to do with potentially attending Lidstrom's jersey retirment? Hahaha - nothing! I totally was just watching Yzerman's jersey retirement ceremony on NHL network (well, DVR) and was thinking of that rather than Lidstrom's. Still going with Sheldon Kennedy as the most likely out of the 3, though.
Vladiator 116 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Does anyone know if there are going to be tickets available since the tickets for a March 6th game wouldn't realistically go up for sale until December (for public sale). Still bummed that I couldn't get a ticket for the Y number retirement. Edited September 5, 2013 by Vladiator
vladdy16 2,154 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 I bought tickets for that game when tickets went on sale a couple of weeks ago for the first half of the season, but it's possible they've reserved some for release later. I've heard nothing definitive though, sorry.
rick zombo 3,739 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 I can't believe this, but it appears Ticketmaster have some. http://www.ticketmaster.com/detroit-red-wings-vs-colorado-avalanche-detroit-michigan-03-06-2014/event/08004AFFD5C4897B?artistid=805938&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=9 Just click on a section (like 212) and drag your mouse around. You'll see what I mean. Personally, I'm pissed. They said they were "sold out" a minute after they went on sale on Saturday Aug 24th. I ended up getting tickets off of Stubhub, which were more expensive.
