The NHL Board of Governors will reportedly meet on Thursday and are expected to approve the sale of the cash strapped New Jersey Devils to a Joshua Harris-led group of buyers.

Harris currently owns the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers.

Characterizing the process as "rapidly moving," Tom Gulitti of The Record reports that the sale of the Devils "could be completed in the next two days." Current Devils owner Jeff Vanderbeek is expected to retain a minority ownership stake in the team.
