Had to agree with Incarnates post. Nearly all modern music is garbage; 3 minute songs where half of it is the same one line about 30 times. Most of these clowns can't even play instruments, or sing, or write their own music. The only time I can tolerate most of the filth is when you're drinking at a bar (not like you can change the music at that point). I'll stick to Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Hendrix, some actual musical ability.

Bottled water is the stupidest thing ever unless you have no access to safe water (applies to almost no one in the US). It also costs more than freakin gasoline and a disturbing amount end up in landfills. At least in this country, public water is monitored like a nuclear missile silo (one of the easiest way for epidemics to spread/terrorists to strike so it's regulated like crazy) as opposed to Pepsi's water bottling plant which is subject to less regulations and at somewhere in the range of 1000-10000 times more expensive. Here in Illinois we get Lake Michigan water which is in like the top 1% of public drinking water quality in the world and yet you see tons of morons buying it, in bulk.

There is literally nothing about modern music that appeals to me. 60's to 90's is where i'll remain until music becomes music again.

I agree with this for the most part. There are a few decent bands/artists of today that are decent/good, but the golden age of rock is clearly in the past.

Wings_Dynasty, you might not need a truck, but where I am it's almost mandatory. And 4WD is a must as well. Though I agree with the rest of what you say. Besides, we do a lot of traveling, and need something stronger to pull a camper.

Am I the only one who does not give a rat's rear end about all this "50 Shades of Grey" horse crap? Never read the book, won't see the movie. It's like "American Sniper". I live every day with a PTSD sufferer. I don't need to see it.

No.

I won't see it. I haven't read the book.

I couldn't care less about it.

There was a rumor back in the day that Emma Watson was offered the female lead in it, and if she was I would have went and seen it.ha.

Couldn't care less about other peoples' sex lives.

As for all the movies glorifying "war" and making it look all cool and glamorous, I am not a fan. Those movies make money for film makers and executives who exploit the situation, and do nothing to improve the lives of those who are truly affected.

On a roll today? I must be butter! Actually, I don't really know what you are referring to.

Fair enough...also to keep it hockey related, I mostly enjoyed reading about hockey. Wait, that's not right...okay, the books are better than the show. I'm done now.

Oh yes...gotcha.

It annoys me when people say "The book was better" after seeing a movie, or constantly say "That's not how it happened in the book" during the movie.

Who wants the movie to play out identical to the book and know exactly what's going to happen from start to finish anyway? There are always differences. Besides, if I wanted to read the book instead of watching the movie, I would have read the book instead of watching the movie.

Guys. I don't know how much clearer I could be with this.

Politics and political based discussion IS NOT ALLOWED on LGW. Not in the General Discussion, not in the Water Cooler, not anywhere. If you notice a recent post of yours has been deleted, this is the reason why.

Any further political discussion will result in disciplinary action.

Don't be the member who gets handed a suspension because of a post in the Water Cooler...

My unpopular opinion. I hate having to post messages like this.

There are a lot of things that we still need "awareness" of, but is breast cancer really one of them? Is there anyone out there who doesn't know what it is?

I'm all for raising money to treat and/or prevent it and to help people who are fighting it, but do we really have to be raising awareness? At this point, I'd rather see actual fund-raisers that actually do something about it.
