I think this is an awesome way to announce you are coming back.  Lebron ought to take notes.  I also think the NHL is better off with Teemu playing.  He is a class act!

Selanne's announcement video shows him struggling at golf, eventually throwing his bag into a lake in frustration. When he realizes his phone is in the bag, he jumps into the lake to retrieve it before calling Ducks general manager Bob Murray.

That's hilarious! I'm glad he's playing another year.

Teemu wasn't always such a class act when playing against the Wings. :)

From now on, Patrick Roy will be rolled out to and from the Avs' bench like Hannibal Lecter. - BottleOfSmoke

Should have went back to the Jets for one last season, but that video is awesome.

I will believe this is his last season when he retires officially after whichever season ends up as his last and then doesn't stage a mid season comeback!

Edit this man still has the best goal celebration ever with this one:

This. While I think the video's funny and am glad he's going to get one big last hurrah, I'm on to your fake classy bulls***, Flash. I hope your season ends in tears at the hands of the Wings yet again. I realize now that that would have to be in the SCF, but you get my drift. I'm watching you.

Exactly. I'm glad he's coming back cause he still has some good hockey left in the tank. But I got no extra "love" for the guy like a few ppl here. He's the same person who said "the Wings always have the refs on their side" when playing at the Joe. And I also seem to remember him putting down Zetterberg as a hockey player a few years back.

One more season of whining on a team that is going to regress big time.

Welcome back, Teemu! Great player, but I think his class act stature is phony.

Pretty much.

On top of that, didn't he semi-retire a few years ago?

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Good fo hockey freaking hilarious  commercial. The Ducks should do the right thing and raise his jersey to the rafters.

Great player, he really has some sort of comedian talent in him.

Funny video. But I'm not big on the idea of a player saying it's his last season "for sure".

And more interestingly, how has Selanne gotten this "class act" label? Just because a player's 40+ and has played with mostly one team, it's doesn't mean he's a class act. He's no Yzerman, Lidstrom, Sakic, Francis, etc.

Selanne's been a whiner and diver his entire career. So I don't get it.

All the power to Teemu, the man can obviously still play hockey, age is a number. Hope he tosses together another 70 point season and goes out with a bang. Love the guy personally and glad he's decided to give it one last go.

The question is, are you kidding? He's been a diving whiner since his rookie season. And it's only gotten worse with age. Just so happens he is also a very talented goal scoring machine.

Who cares, he's the pride of Finland. I'm a fan, even if he was resorting to some Douchebaggery because of his slowing down.

Or we could have taken him and iginla along with alfie and this year would be a mini-2002 haha

He whines on rare occasions but I have never seen him dive. In fact, you are the first person I've heard who has called him a diver

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

Good. Love Teemu. He's a great hockey guy. He's not an angel, but as for competitive guys, he's pretty damn respectable. So what if the guy gets worked up once in awhile. He cares.

You don't think our guys do that?

Everyone does that.
