Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 (edited) Before: After: Much better looking, IMO. Edited September 2, 2013 by Hockeytown0001
frankgrimes 1,836 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 Without the red strokes I liked the old ones better but they are both okay.

Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 I like the changes, but I'm generally a fan of minimalistic designs too, so when noise is removed I typically tend to favor it. Also I'm a sucker for laces (real ones).

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 Better. Now they just need new home ones- the less elfin, the better. The red and green in the logo is fine, but there needs to be less red in the rest of the uni or the whole thing looks like their helmets should have pointy ears and their skates should have curly toes. 1 Rick D reacted to this
Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 First new jersery design unveiled this offseason that I actually don't mind. Now they need to update their home unis to match.
cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 And, the great reveal was done at the Minnesota State Fair...sweet! They're whining about the money they're losing, but they're not afraid to waste "production value" money on this video. The only think missing is a crane shot. Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 The red or green? If I were in charge, I would make a green and white jersey that's like a home version of the new road jerseys, then ditch both the current "Christmas" home jerseys and the third jerseys too. But, that's just my opinion.
Phil Lesh 93 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 I'm kind of tired of the laces fad. Only the Rangers should have laces.

kylee 727 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 Just me but laces added to any hockey jersey just instantly makes it better. I like this a bit better but the shoulders look too square. 1 Z Winged Dangler reacted to this
thegerkin 189 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 I think the new jerseys should have the "red"-ish color (their current) for their C and A patches instead of the dark color.
Wings_Toledo 233 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 Is it just me or do all of these "new" sweaters just look the same? It's like teams that want to sell more merch just make an extremely stripped-down version of their old design to lower the material and production costs and... oh wait... 1 Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
joshy207 156 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 This is the first new uni of the summer that I like. It's similar to the old one, but much cleaner. Still has an appropriate amount of stripes, especially at the waist. Nicely done, Wild.

I like the "newer" new ones rather than the new Rbk edge uniforms introduced in 2007, where nearly half the teams had that awful piping on theirs.
Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted September 2, 2013 Improvement, yet somehow still evil. Oh, wait, no, that's just The Parise Effect. For the record, I really, really like their green special jerseys. Why not just make this their road and the green one their home? That'd be cool. Is it just me or do all of these "new" sweaters just look the same? kipwinger 8,524 Report post Posted September 3, 2013 They look a little less like Christmas decorations now, but still look a lot like Christmas decorations. Until the Parise/Suter thing, I always had an affinity for the Wild. Mostly because I think Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin are all alike in a lot of ways (mid-western, northern, all that). But having said that, I always hated their color scheme.
Son of a Wing 1,644 Report post Posted September 3, 2013 An improvement for sure. I especially like the newly added laces as well as the colour separation between the jersey and pants.
AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted September 4, 2013 They changed a few colors and a font. Big deal. They will still suck, play 6 goalies this year and be hard to watch.

Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted September 4, 2013 Interesting read from Icethetics regarding the design process for the new sweater. Never knew that the process was so involved, and that the league had requirements regarding timeframe from start to finish. Worth a read, for sure. http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2013/9/2/behind-the-wilds-new-sweater.html
