FireCaptain 563 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 Totally misleading headline from the Toronto Sun. Robbery is against a person. BURGLARY is against property. I read the thread title and thought he was held up at gun point in Detroit. 5 evilmrt, amberlynn25, F.Michael and 2 others reacted to this

55fan 5,133 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 I wonder if they knew that it was his place? I'm sure it was in a nice part of town and that they figured there'd be money. I hope that it was just gadgets and stuff, not hockey memorabilia or family stuff. I was going to say that I hope they catch the bastard and make him stand unprotected in net as Pavel takes 100 slap shots at him, but this is Pavel; 99 of them would go right past him. 2 DatsyukianDekes and Hockeymom1960 reacted to this

bardownginos 16 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 I'm sure seeing how he's only there a few months out of the year, nothing sentimental was taken. I think I've read before that he keeps that stuff at his home in Detroit. Don't quote me on that though. Anyway, very unfortunate
Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 (edited) I think I read it was $45,000 worth of stuff. Which for him is nothing, but, yeah, I do wonder about sentimal value and such.... Edited September 6, 2013 by Dabura
sibiriak 84 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 According to the Russian papers it was mostly cash, nothing hockey related. Some other flats in the same building were burgled as well. Datsyuk was at the Russian Olympic camp at the time. Ekaterinburg police better catch the bastards, if they can't even solve a crime against Datsyuk, what are they good for? 1 Kira reacted to this

Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted September 7, 2013 like i said 3 days salary, it's like a normal person leaving a few hundred bucks in their sock drawer I know, but still. Something a little odd about it, IMHO.
55fan 5,133 Report post Posted September 7, 2013 I know, but still. Something a little odd about it, IMHO. It just said cash. It could have been some sort of collection or something. Or it could have been that he had translated some money from one country's currency to another.
