From CBC:

The Canucks will retire Pavel Bure's No. 10 on Nov. 2 when Vancouver hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs at Rogers Arena, the team announced Friday.

It will be the fourth retired number in franchise history. The others are Stan Smyl's No. 12, Trevor Linden's No. 16 and Markus Naslund's No. 19.

National television audience for that; smart move.

Glad they buried the hatchet. I didn't see this one coming the way he and the franchise parted.

For many my age, Bure is what we remember most about the Canucks. Guy was a goal scoring machine that skated like the wind and shot like a rocket. He was one game seven away from predating Lidstrom by 8 years as the first European born Conn Smythe trophy winner.
