Obviously biased and delusional, but still a funny/infuriating read.

It's tongue-in-cheek, as are all the other entries in the series. I've been reading them the past few days and, I have to say, I've actually learned a few things. Which is cool.

Wish  I could have that 10 minutes of my life back. I almost stopped reading when I saw her use the word Douchenozzle. Watch that will be censored here on a forum where it has more right to be than in an article, even if only on a blog.

What a waste, I mean I get the point, 29 teams to hate, she wasn't going to say nice things.

But it is schtick, like Seinfeld or Foxworthy.

Horrible piece, just horrible!

"The more I know about people - the better I like my dog." - Mark Twain

"A wise man once told me, ‘Don’t argue with fools. Cause people from a distance can’t tell who is who'." Jay Z, Takeover

"When I was looking for a captain, I wanted a guy with the Red Wings crest tattooed on his chest," said former Detroit coach Jacques Demers, who named Yzerman captain in 1986. "Steve Yzerman was that guy."

“Told him if he wasn't ultra-competitive he couldn't come here. If he didn't bring it every day he couldn't come here, because he was going to hate it if he didn't, dislike the coach and dislike playing here.
“It's real straightforward. If you don't do it right, you're not happy here." Babcock

Babcock does NOT look like Willem Dafoe!

That's it.  That's where I draw the line.

Douchenozzles like Todd Bertuzzi andnoted...whatever this is like Pavel Datsyuk

Right, because Datsyuk's religious beliefs make him a "douchenozzle". Pathetic, digging and digging for reasons to mock one of the most well run franchises in sports.  A whole part dedicated to how "awful" kronwalling is, maybe their fans don't realize hitting is part of hockey, and if players can't be bothered to keep their head up while kronwall is on the ice, they deserve to get hit into oblivion. Also failed to mention Zetterberg and Datsyuk (skill and competitiveness wise) while saying Jimmy and Goose are our only saving grace, and then their "fans" have the audacity to comment on the article talking about how the perfect human was over-rated. What a terrible "writer" and fan base. I actually lost a lot of respect for Bostons fanbase, I liked Boston, and didn't mind the fans, till this little piece of garbage article. I guess they are still mad we whooped their arses 8-2, and apparently they are quite upset that we filled their arena too, Welcome to Detroit Boston Booins (or Boo-urns)

While I consider myself to have a better than average sense of humor, I will admit to being a big whiny baby about these sorts of things. I just can't not get butthurt! I get the overwhelming urge to go through line by line and discredit what is obviously bulls*** thus rendering ME the douchebag in the situation. It's the cross I bear, ladies and gents.

She's just whining because she's still mad over the whole Petr Klima thing. He honed his immeasurable skills in Detroit and then went on to Edmonton because he liked the bar scene I suppose and scored that goal in the 19th overtime in the Final.

Some people just never get over things.

It's nice to see how much Boston fans respect/fear us. "They get more fans at our home games than we do!" "They snapped our win streak!"
Love it. f***ers.

Good rule of thumb is always take an octopus everywhere. Better to have one and not need it than find yourself thinking, "Damn, I wish I had that octopus".

Obvious troll is obvious.

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Of all the articles written by biased writers that insult the Wings, this is the most infuriating one.

I'm all for some good trash talk, but *yawn*.  They're rarely clever or entertaining anymore.  This one continues to disappoint.

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Funny read.

That said - I like the Bruins, and who they got on their roster...Reminds me of our beloved Red Wings circa 1997/1998.
