 George.

This is confusing for me.  I generally root for the Leafs and hate the Habs, but now the Habs have Parros and the Leafs have Pfufnfufufff.  As the season progresses, I'll be rooting for whomever does the least damage to the Wings in the standings.

Money on the board:  Current total: 0

$1 for a goal by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster.  An additional $5 for a series-clinching goal scored by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster. $5 if the other team fails to score against a current Wing goalie after whom I have named a hamster.

Hamsters I have had:  (current Wings highlighted)

Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

Niklas Matthew Daniel Robert

Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

Jordin Damien Gustav James

I generally root for the Leafs as well, which still confuses my brain.  Subban and Pacioretty are on my fantasy team though.  Can I root for the Leafs to win but those two guys to do well?

Your plan sounds like an excellent one.

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

@DaveLozo: Really looking forward to Eddie O's unbiased, objective analysis of this Blackhawks game after he is done emceeing the banner ceremony.

Parros out cold like a racoon unsuccessfully crossing the expressway
Ok... Parros being taken off the ice in a stretcher, is awake and moving all limbs... Face planted into the ice

Ouch that sucks, love the reaction from Orr he immediately called for the doctors.

Hopefully big Parros is going to recover fast all the best to him.

Scary stuff.  Get better, George!

Props to Orr.

I won't....Orr just beat Parros up with one punch and stole his lunch money, that's the life of a goon.

Poor Montreal they all just got 2"smaller.

I do hope he's ok though.

Washington, Toronto, and Montreal have not yet really seemed overly physical. Still not worried about the big bad east

Oh god, NBC is covering Detroits game tomorrow?? Time to play the subtle interference drinking game I guess

The Parros situation was unreal. He was spun around and as Colton Orr was falling to the ice, Orr had a hold of Parros jersey. Parros had no way to structure his fall to protect himself and hit the ice chin first. Just a freak accident all in all. I have never seen a player hit the ice like Parros did.

Sorry I do not have a link, but I am certain there will be plenty of exposure of the incident on the NHL Network.

UPDATE:  Parros now has just left in an ambulance to the hospital...... so we will see what happens from there.

More like he was pulled down. He fell face first on the ice.

Toronto takes the game in Montreal 4-3. Decent game with a lot of grit involved. I hope the Wings are up for this challenge in the Atlantic Division, as it looks physical.

It was a physical game for sure. But, unlike most games in the west,  there was also little or no puck possesion or defensive structure to speak of. I think Detroit will be OK.
