Little scores and I think, "dang, half this team used to play for the Thrashers".

Yeah, it's been a loooooooong day.

right after ovie was blatantly tripped entering the zone and was called off sides

Yup, front page covered with the hawks... about how they picked up right where they left off, apparently struggling to win, with a sub-par goaltender who is paid way too much (or will be)

Grabo with a hatty and 4 points in his first game, still think we should have taken the gamble on him, we will see how he does this year, but I like weiss

4 points in 1 game for Grabs....... unbelievable. And this guy couldn't get a contract?

GMs are paid how much again?

1 game is not a successful season, but agreed, I always thought he was a good risk to take for some team.

Still pretty funny that he pretty much equaled Weiss's total amount of points from last season in his first game. :P

That is why I said we will see how he does this year... I was just impressed with his compete level tonight, and the fact that he had 4 points

He was my dark horse pick in all my leagues this year. Needless to say I'm winning at the moment in every single one :)

Good to see that Crawford is still a sieve.

Nice start for Trouba. Goal, assist, and first star of the game. Not bad for the 19 year old from U-M.

For a nano second a Danish player led the league in scoring. Allow me to be excited as that happens once in a billion years.

I know it's only one game, but Edmonton continues to look like a team with a lot of talent and no idea how to play responsible defense. Hall alone had three brutal turnovers.

They also seem to be just winging it any time they're coming out of their own end. Don't they ever work on breakout plays?

The Oil is scary to play against to be honest due to the reasons you stated and that is with two of their top players out.

Give em 15-20 games and seee if they refine their defense, they are very offensive minded
